PETALING JAYA: The issue of darkening clouds and heavy rain made headlines over social networking site Twitter.
It rained heavily yesterday evening, and many Twitter users responded to the downpour that had been hitting the Klang Valley at the worst possible time over the last few days – that is during the evening rush hour.
“The rain – I hate it . . . The lines of stacked up traffic inspire vehemence like no other,” Twitter user Bervin Cheong said on his profile.
Many tweeted in frustration that they would be stuck at their workplace as it would be futile to hit the jammed roads.

“The rain is scary. Outside is scary. Everything looks scary. Getting out of KL is even more scary!” exclaimed another Twitter user Cherry Low.
“It’s raining cats and dogs in Ampang. KL will get jammed up with traffic crawling and inching the road,” fellow Twitter user Mohd Ali Ismail said.
Twitter updates from RapidKL (twitter.com/MyRapidKL) said all rail systems were smooth.
There was no update on the Smart Tunnel’s Twitter profile (twitter.com/Smarttunnel) but users said the tunnel was closed during the evening rush hour due to the rain.
Another traffic jam was reported along the Karak Highway where work was in progress to remove a car that was found overturned in a 100m-deep ravine along Jalan Bentong Lama.
